Not many pundits would have forecast that Spurs and Man United would both be sitting below mid-table at this stage of the season, but that is exactly where they are heading into this match.

The knives are out for Ange Postecoglou, but he is still holding on to his job at the time of writing this preview. As for Ruben Amorim, he seems determined to stick to his playing system even when it is not going well. However, Man Utd do look like a poor side at the moment, their performances have been breathtakingly bad of late, especially when you take into consideration the vast amount of money they have spent over the past couple of years.

Nevertheless, supporters will confirm that past encounters between these two teams have thrown up some highly entertaining matches. Let’s hope that the game on Sunday afternoon will have us all on the edge of our seats.

Odds and Predictions

Top football betting sites have this game pretty evenly matched. The odds on a Tottenham victory is 2.37, the price on Man Utd is 2.70, and the draw is being offered at 3.70.

We can’t argue with those prices, but none of them provide any value, so the first one of our predictions is in the correct score market.

Plenty of goals are not uncommon in matches between these teams, so we are going to start off by recommending a small wager on the correct score of 2 – 2 at odds of 12.0.

For the last one of our tips, we are looking at the “Total Goals” market. Over 3.5 goals at odds of 2.10 is a good bet, in our opinion.

Expected Line Ups

Admittedly, the Spurs have been hit with injuries, Maddison and Johnson being prime examples, but the Spurs team just can’t seem to put a winning run together.

Son Heung-Min is a shadow of his former self, which must be a huge disappointment for the Tottenham fans. The big question must be, can this Spurs team get their act together because if not, it will surely mean the end of the road for Big Ange.

Man Utd have been struggling with all sorts of problems. Marcus Rashford has been shipped out on loan to Aston Villa due to his poor attitude in training and Luke Shaw is still out injured.

Tottenham Hotspur (4-3-3): A. Kinsky; Djed Spence, Kevin Danso, Archie Gray, Pedro Porro; L. Bergvall, R. Bentancur, Pape Sarr; Son Heung-Min, D. Kulusevski, Mathys Tel.

Manchester United (4-3-3): Andre Onana; M. De Ligt, N. Mazraoui, H. Maguire; Diogo Dalot, M. Ugarte, Bruno Fernandes, P. Dorgu; A. Garnacho, Amad Diallo, R. Hojlund.

How Will the Season Pan Out

We can’t see anything other than a mid-table finish for both of these teams.

If Spurs sack Ange Postecoglou, they may get a boost under a new manager, but a top-six position must be considered to be off the cards for this season.

As for Man United, it looks like the manager is planning for next season already and will surely be hoping for an influx of new personnel who will adapt quickly to his style of play.
