Few pundits would argue that this has been a disappointing season for both of these teams. Arsenal were surely hoping that this could be their year to lift the Premiership trophy, and Manchester United should have been challenging for a place in Europe, at the very least.
As it turns out, with only eleven games to play, Arsenal may occupy second place in the table but they are thirteen points behind Liverpool and Manchester United are sitting in fourteenth position in what can only be described as a disastrous season for them.
The only thing at stake in this match is pride, so let’s see if these highly paid players are up for it or if they are already planning their summer holidays.
Odds and Predictions
Top football betting sites have priced this matchup as we expected; Man Utd are the outsiders at odds of 4.75, the price on Arsenal is 1.80, and the draw is available at 3.40.
For most of this season, we have been of the opinion that this is the match where the Man U players will step up to the plate and put on a performance for their fans, but it rarely happens.
To be perfectly honest with you, we don’t see it happening in this match. However, as Arsenal has not exactly been pulling up roots lately, the first of our predictions is on the correct score market and a 1 – 1 draw.
The odds on this outcome is a skinny 7.0, so if you are going to get involved, we would only recommend small stakes.
For the last one of our tips, we are going against the grain and opting for a Man United player to score at any time.

Bruno Fernandes is one of the few United players to have impressed us in recent games, especially in the FA Cup match against Fulham.
The odds on him to score at any time is a pretty generous 5.50 so we will take a small piece of that.
Comparison and Statistics

Expected Line Ups
Bruno Fernandes may throw his toys out of the pram when things aren’t going well for him, but there is no doubt that he is a hugely talented player. It seems he has been playing a more attacking role recently, so it will be interesting to see what he can do in this match.
For Arsenal, Declan Rice is still influential in his midfield role, but we like the way Trossard has been playing lately. He is always a threat down the wing and will no doubt give the United defenders a torrid time.
Manchester United (3-4-2-1): Andre Onana; M. De Ligt, N. Mazraoui, Leny Yoro; A. Garnacho, M. Ugarte, Casemiro, Diogo Dalot; J. Zirkzee, Bruno Fernandes; R. Hojlund.
Arsenal (4-3-3): David Raya; M. Lewis-Skelly, W. Saliba, Gabriel, J. Timber; Declan Rice, M. Odegaard, T. Partey; L. Trossard, E. Nwaneri, Mikel Merino.
How Will the Season Pan Out
Not a lot to say on this subject, really. Arsenal should be able to retain second position in the Premier League and easily qualify for the Champions League next season.
Manchester United should count themselves lucky that there are at least a few teams who are worse than them this season. Otherwise, they would be in the thick of a relegation battle, let’s just hope for the sake of their fans that Ruben Amorim can work his magic during the close season.
