Liverpool have been far from impressive recently and this was highlighted by their defeat away at Fulham last week. Fulham are a strong side, but this match should have been three points for the Reds.
Liverpool are still eleven points clear of Arsenal, but as the Gunners proved with their sensational 3 – 0 win over the mighty Real Madrid in the Champions League, anything can happen, so the Liverpool players will be nervously looking over their shoulders as Arsenal will definitely be feeling that anything is possible.
As for West Ham, the appointment of Graham Potter has had a galvanising effect. He will be looking at getting through this season and putting a team together who will be in a position to aim for a top-half finish, at least for the 25/26 campaign.
A quick look at the Premier League table, though and you will see that West Ham must be thankful that Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton are in the same league, three poor teams who occupy the relegation positions and if it wasn’t for them, West Ham would surely be fighting a relegation battle of their own.
Odds and Predictions
In our opinion, the football betting sites have got this one right. Liverpool are overwhelming favourites for this match at odds of 1.35, West Ham have been priced up at 8.0, and the odds for the draw are 5.75.
Even though we are hoping that West Ham can cause a shock which will make the end of season run in far more exciting, we can’t see anything other than a win for Liverpool.
We like the look of a 2 – 0 scoreline at odds of 6.0, but this is one of those games where the floodgates could open, and those lethal Liverpool strikers could really punish West Ham.
For the last one of our tips, we are going to be a little boring and advise a wager on Mo Salah’s “To Score at Any Time”; even money is actually a very good price, so that is where our cash will be going.

Comparison and Statistics
Liverpool and West Ham have played each other head-to-head 151 times in their history. Liverpool have won 84 of these matches, West Ham have won 29, with 38 games ending in a draw.
The last five H2H encounters between these teams emphasise Liverpool’s recent superiority, winning 4, drawing 1 and scoring 20 goals in the process.

Expected Line Ups
Liverpool looked out of sorts against Fulham, with Van Dijk looking vulnerable for the first time this season, but this is still a lineup that makes your mouth water.
We have been particularly impressed with Mac Allister, a bit of an unsung hero in our opinion and his passion for the game is inspirational.
For West Ham, Ward Prowse has always been a favourite of ours. Similar to Mac Allister in many ways and every time he takes a free kick, there is always a distinct possibility that it will end up in the top corner of the net.
Liverpool (4-2-3-1): Alisson; C. Bradley, I. Konaté, V. van Dijk, A. Robertson; R. Gravenberch, A. Mac Allister; M. Salah, D. Szoboszlai, Luis Díaz; C. Gakpo.
West Ham (4-2-3-1): A. Areola; A. Wan-Bissaka, Max Kilman, J. Todibo, Emerson; E. Álvarez, J. Ward Prowse; M. Kudus, Carlos Soler, L. Paquetá; J. Bowen.
How Will the Season Pan Out
We still strongly believe Liverpool will lift the Premier League title. A few more hiccups along the way are to be expected, but what a first season for Arne Slot.
West Ham aren’t mathematically safe from relegation, but few people would argue that they will be playing in the Premiership next season.
We think that they will be dark horses in the 25/26 campaign, especially if Graham Potter has a productive summer transfer window, if he does, then a European qualification place would be a distinct possibility.
