A big treat for football fans this week with a full midweek Premiership fixture list and the stand-out match has to be Arsenal v Man Utd.
Both teams won convincingly at the weekend, Arsenal beating West Ham 2 – 5 away at the London Stadium and Man Utd putting on an impressive display with a 4 – 0 win at home to Everton.
We watched both matches, and even though Arsenal are getting back to their best, (despite their defensive frailties), it was Man Utd who impressed us the most.
Their young manager, Ruben Amorim, has had a great start to what must be one of the hardest football jobs in the world, and you can sense that his managerial skills are having the desired effect on the Man United players.
Odds and Predictions
We were quite surprised to see Arsenal priced up at 1.44 for this match, whilst we agree that they should be favourites, that is a skinny price but perfect for us because it means that there is great value in other betting markets.
The odds offered by football betting sites on a Man Utd victory is 7.0 and the odds on the draw are 4.0.
The Man Utd players are on a roll at the moment and a win is a definite possibility, but for us, a draw at 4.0 is the most likely option.
As for the correct score, 2 – 2 at 19.0 is worth a small wager, a very attractive price in our opinion and you only need a few of those tips to come in per season to see a very nice profit.
For the last one of our predictions, we are getting involved in the Double Chance market and the selection has to be ‘Draw or Man Utd’.
Those odds of 2.62 are excellent and that is where we will be placing our money for this match.
Comparison and Statistics
Arsenal and Man Utd have played each other H2H 240 times in competitive matches throughout their history.
Manchester United have won 101 of these head to head matches, Arsenal have won 89, and 50 games have ended in a draw.
Arsenal have had the upper hand in the last 5 matches between the two teams, with five wins compared with just the one for Man Utd.

Expected Line Ups
As predicted, the return of Odegaard to the Arsenal midfield has had a massive impact on their overall performances. Even though they did look vulnerable at times against West Ham, it is plain to see that Arsenal are getting back to their best.
It must have been encouraging for Man Utd fans to see Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire come on after 56 minutes against Everton and it wouldn’t surprise us to see Mason Mount come on as a sub again in this match as Ruben Amorim has made it clear that he rates him very highly.
Arsenal (4-3-3): Raya; Timber, Saliba, Kiwior, Calafiori; Odegaard, Jorginho, Rice; Saka, Havertz, Martinelli.
Manchester United (4-3-3): Onana; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Maguire, Shaw; Casemiro, Ugarte, Diallo; Zirkzee, Garnacho, Rashford.
How Will the Season Pan Out
Arsenal will be hoping that Liverpool slip up over the coming months, but we believe that second place is the best they will do this season.
As for Man Utd, they are ninth in the table at the moment, but only four points below Brighton, who are fourth, so a place in the Champions League must be the target for the team. It looks like an entirely different proposition under Amorim.
