Euro 2024 Schedule & Betting Odds – The Tournament We Have Anticipated

Most UK punters are waiting with bated breath for the Euro 2024 fixtures to get started. Could this be the year that the Young lions can go one better than the last tournament and actually lift the trophy?

The majority of pundits will agree that it is perfectly within our capabilities, but then again, how many times have we heard that before.

One thing is certain, though: a highly entertaining Euro 2024 schedule is just around the corner, promising numerous football betting sites offering a variety of Euro 2024 betting opportunities waiting for us.

Championship at a Glance – Everything You Need to Know

The Euro 2024 schedule kicks off on June 14, with the hosts taking on Scotland at the Munich Football Arena with the Euro 2024 final being played on July 14 at the Olympiastadion Berlin.

Those are the main Euro 2024 dates that you should be aware of.

Supporters of every country will be hoping that this will be the tournament in which they can make their mark; the front runners in the Euro 2024 draw, England, France and Germany, will no doubt be the subject of some hefty bets at attractive Euro 2024 betting odds.

Euro 2024

Even the outsiders, such as Scotland, Ukraine and Poland, will be hoping that they can emulate the memorable performance of Greece back in Euro 2004 when they started the tournament as 150/1 outsiders and went on to lift the trophy. This year, outsiders will be hoping they can upset the UEFA Euro 2024 standings.

Supporters from all over Europe will be in football heaven for the first 12 days of the tournament as there will be three matches every day (after the opener on the 14th), so it would be safe to say that any other plans will have to be put on hold with supporters having a keen eye on the Euro 2024 groups table.

June 27th and 28th are rest days and then the Round of 16 kicks off on Saturday, June 29.

July 3rd and 4th are also rest days, preparing us all for the Quarter Finals on July 5th and 6th, with the Semi-Finals taking place on July 9th and 10th.

Let's hope on the balmy summer evening of Sunday, July 14, that England (or Scotland for those North of the border) lift the trophy so that we can enjoy the rest of the summer with the proceeds of some successful Euro 2024 betting proceeds in our back pocket.

Groups Information

If you are an England fan, the draw for the group stages has been pretty kind to us, if you are a Scotland fan, the exact opposite is the case. Every team will be hoping to finish in the top two of the Euro 2024 groups table. As a reminder, here are the groups.

Group A

  • Germany
  • Scotland
  • Hungary
  • Switzerland

Group B

  • Spain
  • Croatia
  • Italy
  • Albania

Group C

  • Slovenia
  • Denmark
  • Serbia
  • England

Group D

  • Poland
  • Netherlands
  • Austria
  • France

Group E

  • Belgium
  • Slovakia
  • Romania
  • Ukraine

Group F

  • Turkey
  • Georgia
  • Portugal
  • Czech Republic

Whatever way you look at it, some of those UEFA Euro groups 2024 could turn out to be a bit of a nightmare for some of the more fancied teams.

Look at Group B as an example. Spain and Italy must fancy their chances, but Croatia always impresses, it doesn't matter if it's the Euros or the World Cup, they are usually there or thereabouts.

Group D of the Euro 2024 table could also produce a shock or two. Netherlands and France will be on the short list of most punters, but don't overlook Poland, or Austria for that matter, who are both more than capable of rising to the occasion.

Whatever way you look at it, it is highly likely that one or more of the main fancies will underperform and one or more of the underdogs will perform as if their lives depend on it.

This is why the Euro '24 Championships will provide us all with entertainment of the highest standard over the coming weeks.

Host Stadiums

As you would expect, the stadiums in which the Euro '24 games will be played are the very best that Germany has to offer.

  • Olympiastadion, Berlin - With a current capacity of 71,000, this stadium is the home of Hertha Berlin and has been chosen to host the Euro Final 2024.
  • Allianz Arena, Munich - This is the stadium where the mighty Bayern Munich play their home games and with a capacity of 66,000, it is certainly a ground that is fit for the occasion.
  • Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund - If you've been following Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, you will be aware of the tremendous atmosphere generated when this ground is hosting a match. With an international capacity of over 62,000, this stadium is one where Euro '24 memories will be made.
  • Mercedes-Benz Arena, Stuttgart - This stadium has an almost futuristic look about it since its redevelopment in 2009. The home of VfB Stuttgart, the Mercedes-Benz Arena has a capacity of 51,000.
  • Cologne Stadium - As the name suggests, the Cologne Stadium is the home of Cologne and has a capacity of 43,000. This ground has hosted the German Women's Cup final since 2010 and is an ideal venue for this tournament.
  • Dusseldorf Arena - Situated on the banks of the Rhine, Dusseldorf Arena is the home of Fortuna Dusseldorf. With a capacity of 47,000, this is the first major football tournament held at the venue.
  • Frankfurt Arena - This iconic ground, which is nearly 100 years old, is the home of Eintracht Frankfurt and has a capacity of 47,000. A notable feature of this ground is a retractable roof, which lends itself to generating a remarkable atmosphere.
  • Arena AufSchalke - Another ground with a retractable roof, this is the ground where Schalke plays in front of a capacity of 50,000. The ground doesn't hold fond memories for England fans as this is where Wayne Rooney was sent off in the quarter-finals of the 2006 World Cup against Portugal.
  • Volksparkstadion, Hamburg - Another iconic stadium, the home of Hamburg SV, with a capacity of 49,000. The stadium was redeveloped in 2000 with the aim of providing an unobstructed view from all seats.
  • Leipzig Stadium - Home to RB Leipzig, this impressive-looking stadium with a capacity of 40,000. Also known as the Red Bull Arena, the stadium is an elliptical shape with a distinctive roof structure that covers all seating areas.

The Official Match Ball of the Tournament

Most punters don't really care about the ball as long as it's round and kickable but as we are now in an age where a great deal of time is spent on designing the perfect ball, that is exactly what Adidas has done.

The official ball for UEFA Euro 2024 is called the "FUSSBALLIEBE" in German, "love for football" featuring the Adidas Connected Ball Technology, which is used for the first time in UEFA EURO tournament, the ball is also known as "Adidas Uniforia".

Its design reflects unity, blending cultures, and the Euro 2024 host nation of Germany's landmarks.

The ball features vibrant graphics and a seamless, thermally bonded construction for better trajectory, touch and reduced water uptake.

Technological advancements include enhanced aerodynamics for stable flight and precision, and sustainable materials in its production.

Rigorous testing ensures it meets FIFA's highest standards, so one thing is for sure: any team that exits the tournament in the early stages of Euro 2024 cannot blame the ball!
